Alaska

No real story here as I think the words speak for themselves, although I remember thinking that I was such a small cog in the scheme of things such is the immense power of the landscape. There with magnificent glaciers calving as they recede from the sea, deep fjords with as much water below as mountain above, humpback whales breaching in front of you. Whilst later in the season the spectacular display of Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights.

Milky Way at Night

If indeed this is God’s land

Then he has touched my life

With a stroke of His hand

Creating pictures more beautiful than art

Caressing my soul, my essence, my heart

Beauty, benevolent, wonder and kind

You have opened my eyes when I was blind
